Mira lost their eyesight in a childhood incident which involved interdeminsonal welding and lack of proper eye gear. Originally Mira was named Martin, both Beth and Jerry wanted a son after Summer and even though Mira came out as a little girl they kept the name Martin until her incident which after Rick started calling them Mira. Mira as a joke because Mirar means to look much like Ver means to see and Mira can no longer do either of them. There eyes are quite beautiful, pools of deep dark blue mixed with the soft sea blue and speckled with lines and dots of white making it appear as if they have the stars in their eyes. What they lack with sight the make up for in other senses. Mira comes to the citadel seeking asylum, their Rick was never a proper match for them nor was the cruel faimly she was born into. With little to their name they're hoping to make a better life for themselves.
